When is Diablo 3 Coming Out

Inside the world of Diablo 3 you will fight unholy enemies with all-new character classes, such as the Witch Doctor and the Demon Hunter, and with re-imagined warriors from the previous Diablo release, like the relentless Barbarian. With the new Havok physics engine, you will be able to use the environment as a weapon against your enemies.

While this is interesting and somewhat informative, you might not care about it that much, since has been years now (10) since Blizzard secretly started working on Diablo 3. What you care about is when is Diablo 3 coming out? Two years ago, at Worldwide Invitational in Paris, Blizzard confirmed that they are working on the sequel for Diablo 2, but didn't provide any speculation related to a potential Diablo 3 Release to this date.

If you followed Blizzard games, you probably know that their games will come out when they are 100% completed, tested and polished. Just have a little more patience...

"But I want to play it!" Of course you do. You and other billions of fans world wide... myself included. If you're anything like me, you weren't completely satisfied by the "massive armies" from the "recent" StarCraft 2 Release and you're looking forward to slashing some underworld daemons because, well, Zerlings are not that dark anyway. So, what news on Diablo 3 release date do we have?

1. We know there are going to be five classes in Diablo III (the fearsome Witch Doctor, the badass Barbarian, the mysterious Wizard, the honorable Monk and the twisted Demon Hunter);


2. We know we can choose the gender of our characters in the Diablo III release;


3. We know we will have the opportunity to go back and explore Tristram (Yay!);


4. We know that creatures can crawl on walls (Yay! to that too);


5. We know that the only confirmed familiar NPC is the good old Deckard Cain:
   "Stay a while and listen...";


6. We know that there will be class-specific quests beside the main storyline;


7. We know that we won't be able to play Diablo 3 offline (this is madness!);


8. We know Diablo 3 is going to be dark and twisted. (We do? Because it seems a little bit colored right now. Well, just ignore the last statement...)


9. We also know that the new Crafting and Looting System^NEW ensures that no items are left behind. More on this on the Diablo 3 Beta coverage.

So, you'll then ask, when does Diablo 3 come out? Again with the question! Soon... "Well, how soon is soon?" Seriously? Soon is when it will be done. You will just have to stick to that. No passive skills in Diablo 3 Release
"Woah...? What? Why?" Because! Why do you care anyway? You just care about when the damn thing is coming out. Diablo 3 is coming! "Yeah, right, I've heard that one before..."

When does Diablo 2 come out?
Uh?! What kind of dumb question is this? Diablo 2 was released years ago, in July 2000, to be more exact. So you don't need to know the Diablo 2 release date because the game is already out. So stop wasting my time with silly questions about Diablo 2 release.
